Picture of lower border showing problem

In the new release (5.1.4) the normal Edit view of a large table opens with the bottom border not sufficiently tall to show the contents of the Record window (in the lower left) if opened in the NOT full-screen view. If the bottom of the view of the table is expanded/stretched the Record window becomes visible (normal). If the table is opened in full-screen view, the Record window is sufficiently tall so that all normal data and options (e.g. the button that takes you to the bottom/last record of the table) is visible. The "jump to the bottom of the table" button is very important since Base does not open (and never has) with the up/down scroll bar initially keyed to the all the records; this button is needed to cause the scroll bar to "see" entire height of the table/all records.

Confirming on OSX, but I think that this has already been reported elsewhere and is therefore possibly a DUP.

It's a duplicate of https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97731
