Crash on deselction of merged cell. Unsaved data lost (despite restoration supposed to be successfull I ended up with a completely new sheet).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open new empty libreoffice calc file
2.Merge cells A1 and B1
3.While pressing ctrl on keyboard, select column A, then row 2 and try to deselect (merged) cells A1 and B1 by clicking on them
Actual Results:
LibreOffice crashed

Expected Results:
I expected that row 2 and column A is selected except cell A1

Not reproducible for me with LibreOffice 5.2.3.0+ and the master, both built today at home under Ubuntu 16.04 x86-64.

Please, could you try with the current version 5.2.2?

Best regards. JBF

I have just downloaded the current release 5.2.2.

The help dialog now shows:
Version: 5.2.2.2
Build ID: 8f96e87c890bf8fa77463cd4b640a2312823f3ad
CPU Threads: 4; OS Version: Linux 4.4; UI Render: default;
Locale: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); Calc: CL

The crash is still reproducable on my machine.

Hello Stefan, *,
I can confirm your bug with

OS: Debian Testing AMD64
LO: Version: 5.2.0.4
Build-ID: 066b007f5ebcc236395c7d282ba488bca6720265
CPU-Threads: 4; BS-Version: Linux 4.5; UI-Render: Standard;
Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8)

and

LO: Version: 5.2.2.2
Build-ID: 8f96e87c890bf8fa77463cd4b640a2312823f3ad
CPU-Threads: 4; BS-Version: Linux 4.5; UI-Render: Standard;
Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); Calc: group
(both parallel installed, following the instructions from https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel/Linux)

but not with

LO: Version: 5.2.2.2.0+
Build-ID: 1:5.2.2~rc2-2
CPU-Threads: 4; BS-Version: Linux 4.5; UI-Render: Standard;
Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); Calc: group
(Debian's own version)

so setting the status to new and version to 5.2.0.4 as this is the earliest version with which I can confirm your bug.
HTH
Thomas.
