You get a clear feedback with the cursor. It becomes a big arrow pointing to the left when you are in the area left of the table for selecting a row, or it's a downward arrow for columns, and on the top-left edge the arrow points to south-west indicating the table selection. If we increase the area you run into trouble when you want to add something next to the table, e.g. the text above. So it just WFM. @Heiko Tietze I understand the problem of increase the area; fine with me. But why is there a table column selection option when dragging by holding the left click in the left margin (between -2 and -1 in the ruler) and for the right side (between 17,5 and 19 cm) (In reply to Telesto from comment #3) > @Heiko Tietze > I understand the problem of increase the area; fine with me. But why is > there a table column selection option when dragging by holding the left > click in the left margin (between -2 and -1 in the ruler) and for the right > side (between 17,5 and 19 cm) Not sure to understand you right. But what you actually do far away from the document content is to move the cursor. And like clicking somewhere in the paragraph and moving the mouse down you make a selection. I don't see a confusion. Created attachment 130748 [details]
