Description:
Currently the only way to insert furigana in LO is to use the rather clunky UI in the formatting menu and go through entry by entry. At high text volumes, that just doesn't cut it. As someone who works with Japanese quite a bit, I'd really like to see some way to get this done faster. One way this could be improved:

-Compatibility with other common document formats supporting furigana, e.g. HTML5 (the <ruby> tag)
