Andreas Heinisch committed a patch related to this issue. It has been pushed to "master": https://git.libreoffice.org/core/commit/ce3e760f9155ac8d80f60054be036e862df7029a tdf#111924 - Special characters: don't lose focus on context menu It will be available in 7.4.0. The patch should be included in the daily builds available at https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/ in the next 24-48 hours.
