Description Telesto 2017-08-27 10:15:14 UTC
Description:
When replacing a word which is partly formatted, the formatting at the end of the word is used and not that of the beginning. This is different compared to MS Word or Google Docs and at least unexpect and more or less illogical: why should I use start a Word in the formatting used at the ending of the previous one?

The textbox variant behaves a little bit better (bit is also inconsistent)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the attached file
2. Select 'AAABBB' and replace it. Bold formatting will be lost
3. Select 'AAACCC' and replace it. Notice that the formatting will be pink, cursive and bold
4. Select 'AAADDD ' including the spacing). Start typing: text will be green

5. Repeat step for the textbox variant; notice a different behavior

Actual Results:
The formatting at the ending of a Word is used, not that of the beginning

Expected Results:
Use the formatting at the beginning of the replaced Word. Like other applications do.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No
