Microsoft Word has the option to save a file as "Text Only with Line Breaks".  This is the same as "Text" except that soft line breaks are converted to hard line breaks in the output file.  This can be very useful for limiting line length in the output text file, so I think LibreOffice Writer should have this save type as a feature too.

I don't think MS Word has had this option after '97. This was recently discussed in bug 114080 and it was closed as invalid.
