Description:
I have a spreadsheet on which I ran a search on "steam engine"  There were a number of hits.  After some editing I reran the search and got zero hits.  Every cell that originally contained the search string "steam engine" was empty.  I have a backup and will experiment.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.  Search for a string
2.  Cells containing the string turn up empty


Actual Results:
Data disappeared.

Expected Results:
User entered data should not disappear.


Reproducible: Didn't try


User Profile Reset: No



Additional Info:
I have not tried to reproduce this because I need to sandbox any files I use to reproduce this.

please write more clear steps to reprodution

Thank you for the reply.  The spreadsheet isn't for public release.   I need some time to create a mock up and see if I can reproduce the problem.
The steps I remember are:
Search all sheets for all occurrences of "steam engine"
I went through that section of the spreadsheet applying minor edits.
At some point I noticed a lot of empty cells.  "steam engine" was not the only text in these cells so I doubt it was a careless mouse click on replace all with a blank target field.  
When I reran the search it returned no hits.   
I was not making global changes.  
Please give me a few days to explore reproducing this.

I have been unable to reproduce this problem.   Close the report.   If I reproduce the problem I can reopen.
