look at recognised printers
seems like previous comment wasn't saved after much efforts and struggling i seemed to have libreoffice nad theprinter run smoothly, but after some ten minutes the printer with part of the mac address in the name appeared, but only libreoffice sees it since it appeared the printer with the konica drivers prints in a4/letter only, while the other printer can "recognize" sizes similar to those i'm using but provided it does it prints portrait in any case, no matter what option i choose little update: i tried to print a mailmerge on a file from the printing screen: the outcome was a pdf written on letter size rather than envelope Please give EXACT and most simple steps, given in detail. Like where you put envelopes, what settings is printer, etc. Do not say "possibly using mailmerge". It's not clear if this is print or mailmerge issue. i said mailmerge because it seemed to affect only when i used mailmerge, but it's not so, thus let's start with the simplest hypothesis: Libreoffice version now is 6.1.3.2 Build ID: 1:6.1.3-1 -new document -format (not sure in english) -page -select size c6/5 -select horizontal -write something -ctrl-p -in the preview you see that if you use printer proprietary driver page size becomes a "letter" -if i print printer asks me for a bigger than an envelop size, and provided i can print, of course writings are printed everywhere but when i need them to be in order to print letter envelops i outta put paper, envelops, etc into the manual loader libreoffice and other document viewers/editors, not cups, show another 4050 driverless printer after latest updates things vary slightly if i choose driverless printer: writings are printed rather shifted, but playing with margins makes it almsot acceptable not sure if i am missing something Dear Carlo, The Print Dialog has been revamped in LibreOffice 6.3. Could you please try to reproduce it with a master build from http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/ ? You can install it alongside the standard version. I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the master build hiya just made libreofficedev 6.3 run (Version: 6.3.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: 98630a0bd49bd80652145a21e4e0d0ded792b36b CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.19; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3; TinderBox: Linux-rpm_deb-x86_64@86-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2019-05-04_04:44:35 Locale: it-IT (it_IT.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US Calc: threaded) i've made a couple of tests: i took an old file of mine which worked with previous LibreOffice versions and i made a brand new file, but every time i go for mailmerge libreoffice turns the page into letter size, even A4 (In reply to Carlo from comment #7) > hiya > just made libreofficedev 6.3 run (Version: 6.3.0.0.alpha0+ > Build ID: 98630a0bd49bd80652145a21e4e0d0ded792b36b > CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.19; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3; > TinderBox: Linux-rpm_deb-x86_64@86-TDF, Branch:master, Time: > 2019-05-04_04:44:35 > Locale: it-IT (it_IT.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US > Calc: threaded) > > i've made a couple of tests: i took an old file of mine which worked with > previous LibreOffice versions and i made a brand new file, but every time i > go for mailmerge libreoffice turns the page into letter size, even A4 Yep, that's reported in bug 123076 (In reply to Timur from comment #9) > This one could be a duplicate of Bug 98589. I agree (it says "sometimes to Letter size paper"), let's dupe *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 98589 *** |
