I suggested that the help be improved by adding the condition Menu Tools.../Options/LibreOffice Writer/Formatting Aids [X] Hidden characters to View - Formatting Marks is enabled. That's what we were supposed to do earlier, as written in https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117745#c12 and as TorrAB noticed now. Also a move from bug 123091. False. 0: Open hiddef.odt, enable Formatting Marks (^f10; end-of-para should be displayed); put cursor between B and C; 1: hit Right key, cursor moves past C; 2: hit Right key again, cursor does not move visibly; 3: hit Right key again, cursor moves past G. Explanation: there is a hidden string 'def' between C and G but it is not displayed as it should. To check this, replace step 2: hit Shift-Right key to select (invisibly) the hidden string , then unhide it: ~o, h, Enter; in Character; choose FontEffects, click Hidden: string 'def' appears —because it's not hidden any longer.
