I'm always concerned about functions that applies to a wider context than what has been selected. How often and in what situations do you need to update all external sources? And isn't it covered by Data > Calculate > Recalculate / Recalculate Hard? (In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #1) > I'm always concerned about functions that applies to a wider context than > what has been selected. How often and in what situations do you need to > update all external sources? I can to have many external sources in my one spreadsheet. And after every changing in these sources I want to update my spreadsheet. And I want press only one button instead multiselecting of lines with source in the dialog. > And isn't it covered by Data > Calculate > Recalculate / Recalculate Hard? I don't know. I say about Edit links dialog now To keep the scope of action it makes sense to place "Update" (better renamed to "Update Now") next to the option Automatic/Manual and have "Update All" at the bottom bar. (In reply to Heiko Tietze from comment #1) > And isn't it covered by Data > Calculate > Recalculate / Recalculate Hard? (In reply to Eike Rathke from bug 114998 comment #11) > I think we should not update externally linked data on F9 or Shift+Ctrl+F9, > because that is what the LinkManager under menu Edit -> Links to External > Data is for. |
