Description:
O/S: Linux Mint 19.3; LibreOffice Version: 6.0.7.3 Build ID: 1:6.0.7-0ubuntu0.18.04.10

I have determined that Control+s does not work when the cursor focus is in the find box within the find bar either in Writer nor Calc. Is this the expected behaviour?

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Type something the the find box within the find bar
2. Control+s

Actual Results:
The document is not saved due to the cursor focus being in the find bar

Expected Results:
the file should be saved

Thank you for reporting the bug.
it seems you're using an old version of LibreOffice.
Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ?
I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.

Have installed 6.3.5 on a Linux Mint VM - the problem is still there.

I can reproduce this in LibreOfficeDev on Windows as well. 

Does this exactly qualify as a bug, though? When the cursor is focused on the search bar field, should LibreOffice allow the user to save?

I see this on Linux with gen and gtk3, but not with kf5 backend. I see this on Windows as well all the way back to 3.5.0. Ctrl-S works while focus is in various input fields in the Sidebar, so I don't see why it should not work here.

On GTK3 it is working ok.

Now there is an improvement in the gtk3 backend: if you mouse-click into the find field, the shortcuts work! This change was brought about by
