gallery chessboard background

The issue is, that if you draw an thin gallery shape it's very difficult to see, cause of the background white/gray chessboard.

Also in general the chessboard don't improve the visibility.

I would suggest do remove the chessboard. Cause in general you draw in LibO shapes and black shapes with no background want be uncommon.

Aditya Sahu could you remove the chessboard?

I like the chessboard background. It allows to see the graphic on both white and light grey and clearly defines the object (given without it blends with the canvas background). And thin lines are not easy to see anyway => WF.

For me it's a "design" bug and doesn't improve anything.

I went ahead and marked this WONTFIX. This was explicitly enabled for the last time in commit 8b2a9a37306a7febf28e419280d1782ff230761a and we should not go back and forth toggling defaults each release.

Andreas, this is not a design bug; this is an accessibility feature.
