Looks like a dup, please if you are not agree reopen it. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 123305 *** Hi m.a.riosv Thanks for looking into it, but I believe this is different to bug 123305: * bug 123305 is about Linux and MacOS, this one about Windows * I use the same LO version and the same icon theme on both my Windows 10 and Ubuntu 18.04 laptops, using the same external monitor (Dell U2414Hb, 24 inch), and I can see the issue on Windows but not Ubuntu * The workaround I mentioned is Windows-specific, as I understand it (but I don't know much about HiDPI and Windows, to be honest) So for now I think it is different. Unless someone having the issue described in bug 123305 can test turning the application's management of HiDPI off and let the system do that, if that is even possible on Unix systems?? Did you look at the existing ones in the meta bug: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/showdependencytree.cgi?id=90796&hide_resolved=1 Testing currently with: Version: 7.0.0.2 (x64) Build ID: c01aa64b6c3d89ebe5fe69c28c7adb24eb85249c CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 18363; UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win Locale: en-AU (en_AU); UI: en-US Calc: threaded It seems most of the issue is now linked to the PNG icons, which are very pixelated, and changing to the SVG icon sets looks great, so I might just close this as a duplicate of bug 115439 for now. I can't seem to reproduce the blurriness of the rest of the interface with 7.0.0.2 Looking forward to seeing SVG becoming the default. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 115439 *** Sorry, opening again. My previous comment is inaccurate. The issue is with an external display plugged in. Using the SVG icons does not make a difference in that case: it is still blurry. Issue still present with: Version: 7.0.0.3 (x64) Build ID: 8061b3e9204bef6b321a21033174034a5e2ea88e CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 18363; UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win Locale: en-AU (en_AU); UI: en-US Calc: threaded Both displays are at 100% scale, and all icons appear blurry regardless of which display the window is in. I think I am understanding better my issue, which has two aspects: At 100% scale: - PNG icons are clear - SVG icons are blurred At a higher scaling, e.g. 150%: - PNG are pixelated - SVG are clear So I guess I should also find the relevant bug report for the higher scaling part. Changing the title again, so I am only talking about the first part. Updated reproducible steps: 1. Make sure display is / displays are at 100% scale 2. Open a LibreOffice application (e.g. Writer) 3. Go to Tools > Options > View 4. Change icon style to "Colibre (SVG)" and apply: icons are blurred 5. Change icon style to the original "Colibre" and apply: icons are not blurred The workaround from the original description does not work anymore. I recognise this bug is a total mess, so closing it. Here is the updated, more precise version: Bug 136211 |
