Draw

request to optimize the visual layout of Draw

By default there are three layer (Layout, Controls and Dimension Lines) available in Draw. This layers the user can't delete and maybe show that Draw has layer features.

This request is to hide the layer line by default and give the option to show/hide it as other toolbars with Menubar -> View -> Toolbars -> ...

The layer tab bar in Draw is not a toolbar but a "TabBar", same as the "Sheet" tab bar in Calc or the "Module" tab bar in Basic editor.

I dislike the idea of hiding the layer tab bar in Draw. If you are seriously using Draw, you need it. If you do not need it, you can draw in Impress.

Andreas: Is Regina right with "layer line" being actually the tab bar? Or do you have something else in mind, eg. a new Layer that holds lines, hidden by default. Makes not much sense either.

yes I mean the tab bar which I wrote layer line.

In general I think it would be a good idea to use the tab bar (layer line) but it's not that simple and intuitive to use.

I'll close this bug and write a new one for make the layer line more usable (BUG 133809).
