Adding UX pro forma.. don't assume an objection.. Reproduced with: Version: 7.0.0.1 Build ID: 04ba7e3f1e51af6c5d653e543a620e36719083fd CPU threads: 4; OS: Mac OS X 10.11.6; UI render: default; VCL: osx Locale: en-GB (en_GB.UTF-8); UI: en-GB Calc: threaded -- AND -- LibreOffice 3.3.0 OOO330m19 (Build:6) tag libreoffice-3.3.0.4 (In this version use Format>Page... to change from landscape to portrait). IMO LO should offer option to scale/not-scale inserted shapes when slide dimensions change. Set Status to NEW and earlier version to "Inherited from OOo". Created attachment 162799 [details]

The dialog has a checkbox "Fit object to paper format". Disable it, and all objects keep their size. Then it is your duty to drag the objects to the desired position.
For me, this is not a bug.

However why is it enabled by default for Impress? And for draw unchecked.. I think it should be unchecked too. You usually set the slide format before you create your slides. With enabled checkbox the presentation objects (Title, Outline, Footer area, Date/Time area, Page number area) are fit to the new slide format automatically. If it is unchecked, the user has to go into Master view mode and rearrange all these presentation objects. That would be tedious. And therefore the checkbox is enabled as default. In Draw this problem does not exist, because Draw does not have any presentation objects. So there it is better to have the "Fit" option disabled. |
