Description trumpetguy314 2020-07-19 21:06:23 UTC
Description:
I've taken roughly a dozen screenshots today, and was editing them so they would be placed vertically on pages. When I reached the point of having two imported, my OS (Ubuntu 20.04) froze and suddenly logged me out, closing all applications and acting like a hard restart.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Take a couple of screenshots on Ubuntu 20.04
2. Import screenshots to LibreOffice Writer
3. Move images around and edit them, cropping, changing dimensions, etc., on narrow-margin paper.

Actual Results:
The OS should freeze, shortly forcing the user to the lock screen and prompting for a login. Occasionally, an error screen comes up after re-login, stating "something went wrong" and requiring another login. Otherwise, the first login is successful.

In either case, all applications are closed and act as if the shutdown was unexpected.

Expected Results:
The software should have allowed the placement of the images and allowed cropping. Sort of like if you took pictures of a piece of sheet music and were arranging them on a page to read normally.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Can you attach an example document with those narrow margins and screenshots, which reliably causes you the problem after some actions?

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided the document.
