The extended funtionality of RAND.NV() would allow to change calculations or entries into a spreadsheet without changing one or more given SETS of rnd-numbers. This whole SET would be updated on F9 only when the focus is on a a cell which is inside a the named cell-range containg the RAND.NV() functions. This would be useful for simulation of stock-quotes. This is nothing RAND.NV() specific though. F9 recalculation acts only on the currently active cell, regardless of selection (apart from volatile functions and pending dependencies that it also recalculates). I thought there was already an RFE for that but couldn't find it. Andreas, I thought you might be interested in this. |
