Description Rodrigo Zimmermann 2020-08-25 17:54:50 UTC
Description:
The idea is to create a field or table that reserves a space to include an image in the document, respecting the previously defined parameters.

The feature is ideal for use on models. The user simply clicks on the field and the image file selection box is displayed.

A similar feature exists in Impress, which is displayed in some slide layouts. However, it would be nice to extend the feature to other applications like Writer, Calc and Draw.

Actual Results:

This feature does not currently exist.

Expected Results:
The creation of an image field

Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:

This feature does not currently exist.

Saving space could be done with a section, there are forms to dynamically insert images, and if you want to replace an image but keep the size I guess it's also possible out of the box.

But the use case is not clear to me and I don't understand the purpose of this feature. Are we still talking about a Writer document?

If your workflow is very specific I would recommend to rather introduce it as extension.

No further input, resolving as WF with the recommendation to realize this special workflow per extension.
