tabbed UI must collapse to save space, leaving the tab headings only visible when not in use and expand when one of the tab is clicked.
I think I have used this/somewhat similar on MS office/else.

In MSO it's Collapse the Ribbon. Missing option in LO, enhancement.

Therefore LibO has tabbed compact layout.

In MSO it's Collapse the Ribbon. 
This is missing option in LO. As written, LO has Tabbed Compact.
I'll put this to enhancement with low priority.
Even if Compact is enough for this one not to ever be done, let's have a bug, because it may have duplicates.
