Description:
I am used to using microsoft word. When I copy text and paste text in microsoft word, the pasted text appears on the page in its ORIGINAL size and formatting.

This is a massive part of the way I work in word.

I have recently switched to Libreoffice and i generally love it. But I am very disappointed to see that when I copy and paste text in writer the pasted text automatically takes on the size and formatting of the page area that I am pasting into. Maybe some people like it but this is a huge bug for my way of working.

Is it possible to include in libre writer settings an option to change this automatic formatting feature?

Steps to Reproduce:
1.in writer, copy text.
2.paste it to another part of the document.
3.voila! the pasted text takes on the formatting of the page area it is pasted into.

Actual Results:
the pasted text takes on the formatting of the page area it is pasted into.

Expected Results:
Kept the original size and formatting of the copied text

Read something about styles in LibreOffice.

When you paste text into Writer document from another source then your pasted text should have the same formatting as it had in the source (if you didn't use Paste as unformatted text option).

If you copy/paste some text inside one Writer document then (MAY BE!) your text will have a new formatting.

We need more detail steps from you to reproduce your problem. If there is any example, then please attach it here

Yes, the problem occurs when I copy text from the libre writer document and paste it into the SAME document.

The pasted text takes on the formatting of the page area it is pasted into.

The problem ALSO  ocurs when I copy text from a different writer document!!!!

It is a very serious bug.

Paste Unformatted is not working correctly within LO .odt-to-.odt documents, ie;

1) - copy text with formatting (eg font) from an .odt
2) - paste into another .odt using 'Unformatted Text' option
3) - see the text still formatted as original :/ ...

Paste Unformatted Text seems ok from .ods  into .odt, and from Base tables (i.e. the default)into .odt, and from non-LO source into .odt ... but not .odt to .odt!

(work-around is of course to use NotePad(or similar)first, then cut/paste again into .odt from there ... sigh)

Paste Unformatted should follow the correct behavior (please?)

... PS/ paste-unformatted works properly AFTER 'clear direct formatting' has been applied to a paragraph, but not on a fresh .odt ...:)

I don't know why this stays open. 
It's a beginner question, so best way is to learn about styles and direct formatting.
