Description:
I only have LIBRE office installed on my computer. When I upload a file in xls format to SAP report a Error. 
SAP found an error in using the function to call EXCEL.Application.
Is there any solution?

Do you mean the xls has been generated from LO and SAP doesn't consider it as a real xls file?

Dear Juline:

When SAP calls the Excel.application interface to read the xls file data, it reports an error. I think there are two possibilities:
1. LO does not have Excel.application interface function, Sap call fails and an error is reported, prompting that the document cannot be read
2. LO has the function Excel.application, but it is not written into the windows Regedit during installation. SAP fails to read the regedit information and reports an error, prompting that the file cannot be read.

When I installed MS Office and LO at the same time, and created an xls document with LO, SAP can read the data of this document and process it successfully

From that observation it seems clear what happens. EXCEL.application is an SAP (may be ABAP) interface trying to open EXCEL (locally on your system, independent of SAPGUI, or a browser based equivalent) to show the content of the file. 

From my perspective not a LibreOffice bug.

Uwe is right, if SAP requires Excel, it's not a LO bug.
I suppose you can have more details from the SAP support.
