Katzen.MDB > Fertigstellen > keine Option Katzen.MDB Öffnen vorhanden; eingestellt ist NeueDatenbank > speichern > Die Verbindung zur Datenquelle "Katzen" konnte nicht hergestellt werden. Möglicherweise ist der benötigte Datenprovider nicht installiert.

Not really sure what you are attempting here or what you are reporting as a bug.

dBase is not MDB.

An MDB file extension is an Access database, not a dBase database.

LibreOffice supports either opening a dBase3 file, or an Access MDB (under certain conditions), but not a dBase file that is somehow pretending to be an Access file.


If you want to use a MDB file as the datasource, you need the appropriate Microsoft driver and setup.

From the description you have provided, and the error message, it sounds like you are trying to set up a connection to a Microsoft Access file having a MDB file extension.

We would also need to know which version of Access was used to produce the Access file.

Please provide us with further information, including your operating system version.

Seems someone tries to connect to an old Access database file with dBase. Will never work this way.
