Can you make a mockup where this gutter stuff should be located. I had a look in Word, but there it is located at the page dialog page. What can be a good idea is to located the page dialog command left to Page Margins so that you have full control with the very left command in the Layout tab. Is the gutter a property that is broadly known and frequently used? Or something for experts, confusing average users and not suited for quick access. We discussed the topic in the design meeting. The gutter is an expert property and most users neither know it nor need to apply it. Plus, even for the experts there is no need to change it frequently (which is the reason for a prominent place). Another argument against the enhancement is the fact that this widget is named "Margins". While this makes the request a WF, the widget is placed on a Notebookbar with plenty of space. And the gutter might be added additionally. At best, I could see adding a "more options" (same as Page Size/Columns). Justin Luth committed a patch related to this issue. It has been pushed to "master": https://git.libreoffice.org/core/commit/f7f96175d37d87b266e85726ae01877a39251f16 tdf#141720 sw pagemargincontrol: add more options It will be available in 24.2.0. The patch should be included in the daily builds available at https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/ in the next 24-48 hours. More information about daily builds can be found at: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Testing_Daily_Builds Affected users are encouraged to test the fix and report feedback.
