Description Chuck 2021-06-09 14:21:00 UTC
Description:
The available "Drawing Scale" options in the drop down box are missing common scales for Imperial units used in scale blueprints and engineering rulers. See the section titles "United States and Imperial units" at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scale_ruler for a list of typical scales used in the United States.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use the menu to navigate to the dialog box at Tools➔Options➔LibreOffice Draw➔General
2. Try to select an Imperial units scale of 1:12, 1:24, 1:32, 1:48, 1:64, 1:96 or 1:128

Actual Results:
Only 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 Imperial units ratios are available, the other scales common on an imperial units scale ruler are missing.

Expected Results:
I should be able to select a common Imperial units scale. Another option would be to provide an interface option for a custom scale so the user can directly enter the antecedent and consequent values as an alternative to choosing from a list of provided scale ratios.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
See the typical Imperial units scale ratios at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scale_ruler.

Sounds reasonable -> NEW

Yes, the available scales are too limited. I'm missing scales for big buildings or places. I would need 1:250 or even bigger for example. But the selection list could even be shorter, if it would be possible to edit a user defined scale for a drawing.
