You need to give exact steps, on which Excel can merge merged cells. I don't see it's possible, it unmerges them first. Created attachment 173863 [details]

Reporter: - you don't need to add ODT with simple text and image, just attach that image nex time - in ODT you repeated what's clear, but didn't provide new info - in video you also show the same (with new info that you merge via right-click, not via toolbar) - you may not set New yourself - if you provide requested info, you need set Unconfirmed. But: - I see now that merge is possible is MSO; while main course of action is to unmerge and merge again, drop-down button makes it possible to merge with merged cells - so let's keep New status for enhancement - merging with merged cell in MSO is one-click faster, but it looses data, it says "Merging cells only keeps upper-left value and discards other values"; so you don't options that LO offers - at best, this is Low priority if feasible at all - it's very simple to use toolbar icon in LO twice, with merged and new cells marked, to unmark merged and to get a dialog how to merge them all - I guess the option is to add dropdown button, but let's leave it to UX. *** Bug 150238 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Also in Version: 7.5.0.0.alpha0+ / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 3ccbfaaf95005a34ca64ad250463ef5ce8842f43 CPU threads: 16; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: ro-RO (ro_RO.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded Also in Version: 7.6.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 5cd9de202765e243e41416802f3e4486b8a96f16 CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 6.2; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: ro-RO (ro_RO.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded |
