Is there a button after "Version:" in your Help > About LibreOffice dialog? Press that button and the version information text will be copied to the system clipboard. yes, I see the copy button. Then, the bug would be that the button, with only an icon, isn't so much understandable. A "copy to clipboard" text would be better (In reply to Paolo Benvenuto from comment #2) > Then, the bug would be that the button, with only an icon, isn't so much > understandable. It's not "only an icon", there is a tooltip that explains what it does if you hover your mouse cursor over the button. But sure, let's change summary accordingly and see what the developers say. If I remember right the button was realized without the label intentionally Anyway let's ask UX-team Generally, we should not clutter the UI with useless information and "Copy version number" is rather a "developer tool", easy to find anyway. But no strong objection from my side. We discussed this topic in the design meeting. The button is intentionally icon-only to not distract and to save space. A tooltip tells the user what purpose the button has, if the copy icon is unclear. So no need to change => WF. |
