Same request has been rejected recently as the usefulness is marginal. Use the keyboard with pos1 and shift+end to select the whole line (or draw the mouse cursor down at the left margin, admittedly with some precision required). *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 132056 *** |
Created attachment 175963 [details] Random line selection in WPS Office There is a nice little feature in other editors (Microsoft Word, WPS, SoftMaker) that allows the user to select an entire line with a single click. By moving the mouse in front of the line but outside of the printing area, the mouse cursor changes to an arrow that points to the right. Then, a single click selects the entire line. Also, after selecting one line, other random lines (not necessarily consecutive) can be selected by using Ctrl-click (screenshot from WPS Office attached). And after selecting one line, the selection can be extended to consecutive lines with Shift-click. This is a very useful feature. Please implement this in Writer. I am not attaching a picture because I cannot capture the mouse cursor in a screenshot in Windows.
