Description:
I just reloaded Libre Office on my new computer.

I can no longer fill a cell with a specific color. I do have the fill icon but it is grayed out and if I click on it, my cells remain white

Actual Results:
Can't fill a cell with color

Expected Results:
Fill a cell with color.

Please test with a clean profile, Menu/Help/Restart in Safe Mode

Background colours only visible while editing a cell

After upgrading ubuntu (with a new version of LO) background colours cannot be set in cells as well in the table bar below.

I tried menu - help - restart.
No difference.

Colours can be saved. They are shown in the previews but not in the normal view.

Can you add the steps to reproduce the issue? I cannot reproduce with:
