Description K.F. 2022-02-28 13:52:30 UTC
Description:
In LibreOffice Calc, when I type "3/4" in a cell, "¾" is displayed even though the cell's format is set to "Date", and the date is not displayed.
This problem occurs only when I enter "3/4", and it is displayed correctly when I enter everything from the western calendar, such as "2022/3/4".

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open LibreOffice Calc and create new spreadsheet.
2.Select one of the cells, right-click, and select "Format Cells..." to open the formatting window.
3.Go to the "Numbers" tab and set "Category" to "Date". (By the way, this bug will occur no matter what you set "Format" or "Language" to.)
4.Enter "3/4" in that cell.

Actual Results:
The cell will display "¾".

Expected Results:
The output should be in the correct format, such as "03/04/22" or "3月4日".

Reproducible: Always

I later found out that this bug occurs not only with dates, but also with other modes such as "Text" or "Currency".

You need to avoid the conversion on Menu/Tools/Autocorrect options/Replace deleting the replacement for 3/4.

In any way, you can use 03/4 or 3/04 and the date it's entered.
