Description sunwebrw 2022-03-04 20:12:43 UTC
1. Open Macros editor
2. Copy something
3. Paste something
RESULT NOW: Pastes chinese/japanese symbols instead of what you copied.
RESULT EXPECTED: Pastes exactly what was copied.

If i copy from KDE's clipboard and then paste it everything pastes as it should.

In X11 everything works as expected.

+1

this also happens on libreoffice calc EVERYWHERE:
- if you copy the text contents of a cell into another.
- if you copy into the find box.
- if you copy into the conditional formatting box.
- etc...

I notice that if I use a already existing item in my clipboard it works correctly, so the problem seems to be when you copy and paste from libreoffice. as copying shows the correct value in the clipboard also.

Also if you copy a cell to another cell it also works correctly.

TLDR; to replicate 100% of the time, you must copy then paste from any text box in libreoffice calc.

this isn't confined to the basic module, as it's happening in calc too, the component probably needs to be changed to base. Tried but someone reverted it.

I've had this issue in the past too. But since 7.6 I can no longer reproduce this issue.

Can you please confirm that this issue persists?
