The crash came after returning from hibernate state.

Besides, I have seen properly saved files to be offered for recovery after launching a new Libre Office Writer session.

Crash reporter indicated LO 6.4.7, could you give a try to a recent LO version? (7.2.6 or even brand new 7.3.1)
Indeed, 6.4, like 7.0 and 7.1 branches are EOL.

BTW, Debian stable is more for servers. If you use your machine as personal client machine, testing is a good compromise between stable and sid.
