Have never had any issues updating LibreOffice. However, I've tried multiple times to get the latest update to 7.2.6 and I keep getting something coming up that says Error 1500 Another Download in Progress; when I don't have another download going on. I even tried saving it to the laptop; instead of just opening the download once it was done; and I still got the same Error 1500 message. Something is going on with this release and I am unable to update from the last version I have.

That is not a bug with LO. 
You obviously need help, you may try at ask.libreoffice.org.
