(In reply to Barry from comment #0) > 2. the jre install folder What is the exact path name that you entered here? I did not "enter" the file name. I browsed to it and clicked on it. I am rebuilding my computer and have lost many links including the link to the JRE. When I reinstalled the JRE it auto-selected> Program Files(x86)>Java>jre1.8.0_333. I did not "enter" the file name. I browsed to it and clicked on it. I am rebuilding my computer and have lost many links including the link to the JRE. When I reinstalled the JRE it auto-selected> Program Files(x86)>Java>jre1.8.0_333. (In reply to Barry from comment #2) > auto-selected> Program Files(x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_333. Can you confirm that the folder C:\Program Files(x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_333 exists on your system, and actually has a JRE in that folder? If not, can you browse and select a folder that actually contains an installed JRE? If LO says that it can't find the JRE when you choose the folder, then that generally means one of two things : (a) that it no longer supports the version of the JRE you have on your system, or (b) the JRE program (the actual executable binary program, jre.exe) isn't in the folder you pointed to. If you can find a jre.exe file in that folder (using Windows explorer), then that means that LO doesn't support that particular version of JRE. You would then have to install a different version of JRE/JDK, i.e an earlier one that was supported, or a later one if available/supported. the LibreOffice version Barry indicated says it's 64bit version. However, the JRE path has been installed to "Program Files(x86)" himajin100000 is right. If you use LO 64 bits, you must use Java 64 bits. If you use LO 32 bits, you must use Java 32 bits. So since you got LO 64 bits, you should install jre or jdk 64 bits. Let's put this one to NOTABUG. Of course, if after having installed Java 64 bits, you still reproduce the pb, don't hesitate to reopen this tracker. BTW, 7.3.3 has been released meanwhile. |
