Description sdc.blanco 2022-05-18 00:40:32 UTC
Created attachment 180175 [details]
file extensions offered for different categories

The attachment shows that master documents (*.odm) are at the end of the (long) list of file extensions that are shown for Text documents.

The request for enhancement is to add .odm to the list of Master Documents (as well as leave it in the Text Documents list).
(although this screenshot shows the Microsoft file picker, the same problem arises when using the LO file picker, but that dialog does not show the file extensions.

This request is written in relation to Windows, but maybe this issue is also relevant to other OS. For now I will set OS to Windows, and let others extend to All if appropriate.

+1

Steps to reproduce (with Windows file picker)
1. File -> Open
2. Open file extension dropdown list

Yes, let's filter for ODF master documents too when Master Documents are selected. And keep odm at text documents too.

Looking into officecfg/registry/data/org/openoffice/Office/UI.xcu it seems writerglobal8 is included but not working properly. => bug/devadvice
