Never seen such a behavior in any LO-Version, special LO 7.3.6.2, but system is OpenSUSE Linux 64bit rpm here. Have changed hardware, because the bug has been reported for x64. Did you load Remote Files before? Then try by "Clear Recent Documents". Also try by starting through "Help" → "Restart in Safe Mode…". Last chance: Reset you user profile. Path to the profile could be found through "Tools" → "Options" → "LibreOffice" → "Paths". Should be something like …libreoffice/4… Rename '4' to '4old'. Do you have a printer on that network? Does the issue depend on if the printer is available or not? Sounds like bug 42673 to me. Dear tittelflorian, This bug has been in NEEDINFO status with no change for at least 6 months. Please provide the requested information as soon as possible and mark the bug as UNCONFIRMED. Due to regular bug tracker maintenance, if the bug is still in NEEDINFO status with no change in 30 days the QA team will close the bug as INSUFFICIENTDATA due to lack of needed information. For more information about our NEEDINFO policy please read the wiki located here: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Bugzilla/Fields/Status/NEEDINFO If you have already provided the requested information, please mark the bug as UNCONFIRMED so that the QA team knows that the bug is ready to be confirmed. Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! Warm Regards, QA Team MassPing-NeedInfo-Ping (In reply to Robert Großkopf from comment #2) > Did you load Remote Files before? Unfortunately, this did not resolve the issue. (In reply to Stéphane Guillou (stragu) from comment #3) > Do you have a printer on that network? Does the issue depend on if the > printer is available or not? The problem was not printer related. I would like to apologize for my inactivity. I have been using a different Office application for a while now, so the bug is no longer relevant to me. I would also like to thank you very much for your help. I will now actively follow this post and, if necessary, help to fix the bug. But as I said, I no longer have the application and the error is no longer relevant to me. Do you mean that you checked if a printer is listed in you system's configuration depending on if you are connected or not? To be clear: I know that your issue didn't involve using a printer, but bug 42673 is often the cause of such a hang and is related to network devices being unavailable when LO start up. > I would like to apologize for my inactivity. Thanks for yours! > I will now actively follow this post and, if necessary, help to fix the bug. If you want to help, please install a recent version (24.2), test again if the issue persists, and if it does, double-check that network printer thing (is there one that Windows lists as an unavailable network printer? Does removing that printer resolve the issue?). > But as I said, I no longer have the application and the error is no longer > relevant to me. If you don't have LO installed anymore and don't plan to install it again, we might have to close the report as "resolved - insufficient data". |
