Description dafadllyn 2022-12-19 21:26:22 UTC
Description:
In Calc, when selecting a cell or a cell range in a formula with the mouse (or with the touchpad or using the touchscreen), the cell or cell range is unreadable because it is displayed as solid black rectangle. Often, other black artefacts appear at the same time.

Probably also related: in all LibreOffice applications, some icons such as font colour and background colour are wrongly displayed with a black background.

This problem occurs both with both dark and light theme (Windows setting).

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Type '=' (or any formula, e.g. '=SUM(') in any cell.
2. Select a cell or a cell range.

Actual Results:
The formula is displayed as '=■', i.e. the cell or cell range is wrongly displayed as a black rectangle.

Expected Results:
The formula should be correctly displayed, e.g. '=A1'.

Reproducible: Always

Please try disable Skia in Tools-Options-LibreOffice-View dialog

Also please write what videocard do you use?

Test updating the driver from Intel. It was a great help for me.

Updating the driver from version 30.0.101.1692 to version 31.0.101.3959 did indeed solve the problem. Thank you for your help!

(Strangely enough, both HP's driver detecting tool and Windows' Device Manager told me that version 30.0.101.1692 is the most recent driver, and after having installed version 31.0.101.3959 the Device Manager reinstalls the older version when clicking on 'Update driver'.)
