Try to copy the formula in sheet 2, A4 cell, in other colloured cells .

Do that using "ctrl+c" on this cell and then 

selecte other coloured cells, and then Rightclick, paste special, paste special, select only text, numbers, and formulas, press ok.
It stucks forever!

I can't reproduce the hang with:

Even with qt5 VCL (qfont+wayland).

Can you please test again in 7.5.3?
Which cell exactly do you paste into when it hangs?

I cant even reproduce now myself. 
please close the bug.

Let's go with "works for me" instead. Elias, if the issue reappears, please set back to "unconfirmed" and provide new steps to reproduce.
