Have you probed with the given option to restart in Safe Mode. Yes i opened it in safe mode, clicked on restore from backup (last known working state) but the problem persists. If I click 'do not send crash report' the app opens up and functions normally. The nuisance is the pop up. Thanks Muru. There were a few "crash on close" bugs fixed recently (e.g. bug 156683, bug 157088, bug 156463), so please try again in the most recent release, currently 7.6.2.1, and let us know if it still happens.
