Presenter Notes should be visible + editable in the main view in IMPRESS - it's a matter of usability and convenience.(Powerpoint allows this.) - total nobrainer.

When setting up a presentation, you want to add stuff that is visible for the audience and what you want to say at the same time. Not switching to the rather awkward notes view (whose purpose + layout I never understood)

Additionally - as a bonus - it would be great if Notes could be formatted. From a presenters view it's great to see keywords emphasized.

Thanks for your consideration!

Hi stulz@xoio.de,

I have attached the Design team to consider your suggestion.

Pro: all in one view, con: occupies precious vertical space (some screen are very small and those users may still prefer the tabbed solution). An alternative might be to have the notes in a dedicated sidebar tab.

Anyway, this has been reported in bug 33603 and you are welcome to discuss ideas there.
