Description:
Good morning,
I am using Writer in the latest version of Libre Office 7.6.4.1 (x86_64), and I noticed that during your last update, it is no longer possible for me to use the key combination to insert special characters ( Example: "alt+144" ==> É, "alt+0200" ==> É etc.)!?! During this key combination, a side window opens on the right with different Menus (Properties, Navigation, Image etc.). To insert these special characters, it requires me to let go of the keyboard in order to use the mouse to search for them or the "Insert special character" icon. This is a bit annoying for the person who has been using all these keyboard shortcuts for a long time! Can you take a look and tell me if it is possible to fix this or not. Thank you for your help, best regards, BOB.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.alt+ key combination should be possible alt+144 ==> É
2.
3.

Actual Results:
when pressing the "Alt" key and adding a number behind it, do we switch to a side window of "Menus"? instead of inserting a special character Alt+144 = É

Expected Results:
Do we switch to a side window of “Menus”? instead of inserting a special character Alt+144 = É

Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Directly insert the special character É (or another alt+0200 = È etc.)

Dupe. But you can enter *any* Unicode value and toggle the character with <Alt>+x (or <Alt>+c for some locales).

E.g. enter U+00C9 (for a LATIN CAPITAL LETTER E WITH ACUTE).
