Help Info
Please test using the system 'Add / Remove programs' to repair LibreOffice installation. Also, you can try https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps (In reply to m_a_riosv from comment #2) > Please test using the system 'Add / Remove programs' to repair LibreOffice > installation. Completely removed LibreOffice rebooted and reinstalled rebooted again. Same Issue ... Just get the opening rectangle and I let it go for 20 minutes before closing it. I immediately restarted LibreOffice and it instantaneously popped up. By the way, during the install I did not check the box to have LibreOffice load on boot. Did you download LO from official website (see https://www.libreoffice.org/download/download-libreoffice/) ? Did you install LO on a local disk? + see my previous comment https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps ? (In reply to Julien Nabet from comment #5) > Did you download LO from official website (see > https://www.libreoffice.org/download/download-libreoffice/) ? > > Did you install LO on a local disk? > > + see my previous comment https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps ? See time stamp at the bottom ... I'm in the UTC -10 time zone.
Thank you for your feedback, I must recognize I got no idea why it hangs first and opens ok then. I don't have more questions so put it back to UNCONFIRMED and uncc myself since I can't help here. Thank you for reporting the bug. I can not reproduce the bug in: Version: 24.2.1.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: db4def46b0453cc22e2d0305797cf981b68ef5ac CPU threads: 16; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US Calc: CL threaded (In reply to Julien Nabet from comment #10) > Thank you for your feedback, I must recognize I got no idea why it hangs > first and opens ok then. > > I don't have more questions so put it back to UNCONFIRMED and uncc myself > since I can't help here. Thank You ALL for your help. If you install Win-x86_64@tb77-TDF from https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/current.html and try it, does it behave the same way? It installs with a separate user profile. (In reply to Buovjaga from comment #13) > If you install Win-x86_64@tb77-TDF from > https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/current.html and try it, > does it behave the same way? It installs with a separate user profile. Completely removed 24.2.1.1 and deleted the user folder. Installed Win-x86_64@tb77-TDF but DID NOT customize or check "Load Libre at Startup" Restarted the computer and waited for all startups to load Clicked the shortcut for Libre ... nothing (i.e - no startup screen) Waited 5 minutes Clicked the shortcut for Libre again ... startup screen came up hand did nothing for 5 minutes Dbl Clicked Startup screen and got the "Libre is not responding" screen Chose "Close Program" Went back to typing this missive and the attached screen came up ... a different "Libre is not responding" screen then after I took the screenshot LibreOffice Dev finally loaded. Yes I have taken all of my medications and do not see dragons ... LOL Funny thing happened on the way to bed tonight. I tried to open LibreOffice and post some data to my spreadsheet (Calc) but the dev version I still had installed wouldn't respond. So I: 1 uninstalled the dev version 2 deleted all of the LibreOffice folders in c:\Program Files - ther were 2 the original and the dev 3 deleted the LibreOffice folder in my user account 4 deleted all of the LibreOffice install files on my system 5 downloaded a fresh copy of LibreOffice 24.2.1.2 6 installed the fresh download 7 opened the libreOffice shortcut 8 it seemed to hang for a few seconds but then opened just fine. Go Figure Thanks to all for your help and the time you spent on my behalf. |
