I cannot reproduce the bug, but I believe it is an administrative issue. Try running the installer as an administrator. If that doesn't work, assuming that the account you are signed in on Windows isn't an admin, perhaps create a new administrator account and login through that and try running the installer that way. See also this forum thread: https://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?t=104624 Could it be an issue with your Windows profile? Can you try creating a new administrator account? Or check the installer's file permissions? Or see bug 158815: could there be another program that interferes with your downloads? Hello! I resolved the issue! Turns out the installer didn't like being inside a folder that starts with the ` character! It just so happens that the custom folder I have for downloads starts with ` so that it floats to the top of the list. Once I moved the installer to another, "normally named" folder, it worked with no issues! Many thanks! Good to know, thanks for reporting back! Let's close as "not a bug" as "fixed" is for when something was resolved by a specific patch. |
