Description Regina Henschel 2024-05-20 14:43:48 UTC
Start a debug build. Tools > Customize > page 'Menus'.
Open the drop-down list of field 'Category' and select second last item 'Macros'. => Crash.

I get the error message
Exception thrown at 0x000001C812D2095C in soffice.bin: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x0000000000000000.

I do not get a call stack from VS 2022.

The debug build is from master Version: 24.8.0.0.alpha1+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: bb5740bb4c79c6c9507d4dc127e9f4bac78afc2f
CPU threads: 32; OS: Windows 11 X86_64 (10.0 build 22631); UI render: default; VCL: win

No crash for me, just a bit slow to show.

Version: 24.8.0.0.alpha1+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: b860aea9d6f8ac46f6d2575ead25337495ec9a88
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 6.5; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: CL threaded

Also tested gen VCL.

I _do_ get a huge flood of the following warning in the terminal though:

warn:legacy.osl:672736:672736:comphelper/source/property/propertycontainerhelper.cxx:402: OPropertyContainerHelper::getFastPropertyValue: unknown handle!

Regina, do you still experience the exception crash in a recent build?
Comment 3 Regina Henschel 2024-06-05 10:09:00 UTC
I have retested it again. It seems to be a problem with the user data. With clean user data the problem does not exists. I'll resolve the bug report to Worksforme.
