File with partially protected cells, from Ask Ubuntu

Some partially protected spreadsheet (which require filling out only specific cells) require drawing shapes on them.

LibreOffice Spreadsheet cannot draw any cells on those cells. When I try to draw a shape, nothing happens.

However, Microsoft Excel and OnlyOffice can draw shapes on such partially protected spreadsheets, as reported here: https://askubuntu.com/q/1516337/124466

Example spreadsheet: https://github.com/user-attachments/files/15542625/default.xlsx

End goal: Something like this https://i.sstatic.net/cWJKayhg.png

I am attaching a spreadsheet, which requires encircling the Male/Female option using a oval shape. It turns out that it is not possible to do so using LibreOffice.
