[Reproducible] with "LibreOffice 3.3.0 RC2 - WIN XP German UI [OOO330m18 (build 3.3.0.2)]" and sample document. Works fine with LibO and sample from <http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=98093> Sample document will be opened with OOo 3.1.1 without problems. Cédric, who will handle this problem? (In reply to comment #2) A fix for the underlying libwpd code has been posted by the author here: http://libwpd.git.sourceforge.net/git/gitweb.cgi?p=libwpd/libwpd;a=commitdiff;h=7d080e31f077b3232ae1d71176c864af65f3f618 This fixes the problem when I use a standalone libwpd compiled under OS X. I hope it may be all that's needed to fix the LibreOffice code. I am afraid we cannot update libwpd for RC3; though it will be for sure fixed in 3.4. Ok, the change is very little and problem is regression wrt to the libwpd 0.8.x series. I would suggest -- if upgrade is not possible -- include this fix as a patch in libwpd module. Opening both files using LibreOffice 4.0.0 shows content. Therefore I mark this as RESOLVED WORKSFORME. If this bug still exist with this version, please feel free to REOPEN this bug. Kind regards, Joren |
Created attachment 41427 [details] Zip with sample WPMac 2.1.3 file LibreOffice (and other recent OO variants, I think) import WordPerfect for the Mac 2.x files as blank documents. The libwpd 0.9.0 release (which I think is used in LibreOffice) seems to be unable to convert these files. Other WordPerfect for the Mac versions import successfully. I've attached a sample WPMac 2.1.3 file. The text is a translation from an old propaganda film and NOT my own work!
