Tried to save a Calc document with more than 65536 records to Excel .xlsx-format.
When the .xlsx-file was opened it was truncated to 65536 records, both in LibreOffice and in MSoffice 2007! ODS-format works fine...

This report is concerning an other unexpected export limitation like 
Bug 33493 - Saving to xlsx format truncates sheet data at column 256 ('IV')
I will leave a comment there.

Actually we already have a bug filed for this & is assigned to Katarina.  I'll leave it up to her to close this as a duplicate (as I don't remember the bug number any more).
