Description Richard Gadsden 2011-03-22 07:38:02 UTC
I have an ODMA-enabled DMS (Autonomy iManage - the specific version is FileSite 8.2 build 589) installed on my PC.

I've enabled ODMA in LibreOffice by:

adding the following registry key:
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SODMA\ODMA32]
@="MHODMA"

MHODMA is the ODMA-name of the iManage DMS.

In Tools | Options | General, ticking "Show ODMA DMS Dialogs first".

When I click the "open" button, or use File | Open in Writer (or Calc, or Draw...), then LibreOffice becomes completely unresponsive - neither keyboard, nor mouse do anything, and if I launch a new LibreOffice app, the window opens but is equally unresponsive. The only way out is to kill the soffice.bin process entirely.

ODMA is working with other ODMA-enabled applications - I use Laserform and Microsoft Powerpoint through ODMA on a daily basis, and have retested them since installing LibreOffice, so can confirm that they still don't work.

Is ODMA only really setup for Novell GroupWise? If so, what do I need to do to make progress to having it working with Autonomy iManage?

Confirmed using LibreOffice 3.3.4

We are running Filesite 8.5 SP2

[This is an automated message.]
This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it
started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is
changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back
to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases.
Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at:
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugHunting_Session_3.5.0.-1

Comment 3 sasha.libreoffice 2012-02-25 00:54:33 UTC
In 3.5.0 still reproducible?
Comment 4 Richard Gadsden 2012-02-27 03:54:05 UTC
Updated to 3.5.0 and the behaviour is different.

It now brings up the normal open dialog, even though "Show ODMA DMS Dialogs first" is set.

I've done a little tracing with Process Monitor, and it is accessing various ODMA settings, so I think the Show ODMA dialogs setting does have some effect - presumably it tries ODMA, fails, and then brings up the regular dialog.
