On a Ubuntu 10.04.2 LTS x86, the deb is correctly shown. Instructions specific to Ubuntu are available at: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LibreOffice Such instructions could be copied or linked to. Selected version due to report date. @Yann: I see rpm AND deb in the picker for 3.2.2. Still a problem for you? Closing Bug due to reporter's inactivity as WFM. @reporter: Please feel free to reopen this report if you find out that this problem still (or again) exists in a current stable LibO version and if you can contribute requested additional information. I just checked with Ubuntu 11.04 32bits : the page proposes a 32bit DEB in the list, but the RPM is still the default choice. Basic user don't know RPM/DEB stuff, so it would be better either to propose the right (32 or 64bit) DEB by default, or(/and) to explain how to install LO via the Ubuntu repositories. Ubuntu 10.04.2 Different results with different browsers. DEB always in list. Below is default choise. Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0.1 (from deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/mozillateam/firefox-stable/ubuntu lucid main) RPM Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686) AppleWebKit/534.24 (KHTML, like Gecko) Ubuntu/10.04 Chromium/11.0.696.71 Chrome/11.0.696.71 Safari/534.24 (from default repo) DEB Opera/9.80 (X11; Linux i686; U; ru) Presto/2.8.131 Version/11.11 (from deb http://deb.opera.com/opera/ lenny non-free) RPM Is it any way to propose DEB when browser says only "Linux", not "Ubuntu,Debian, etc."? quick update: Bug still valid on Ubuntu 11.10 (64bits) : i am proposed RPM by default instead of DEB. (In reply to comment #6) > Is it any way to propose DEB when browser says only "Linux", not > "Ubuntu,Debian, etc."? No, there isn't. The web page has to guess your operating system based on browser's user agent string. |
