I have seen similar problems with LanguageTool extension. Do you have it installed? Does it help you to remove it? It works for most other people, so it is specific to a particular environment => lovering severity a bit. No, I'am sorry. I do not have any additional extentions or addons installed. It was a fresh and poor installation (after complete deinstallation of OpenOffice). But for sure ... I had installed some extententions for OpenOffice (but never the language tools ... mostly some dictionaries) ... but after deinstall and complete remove from user settings they should be gone?! I also had think of the severity ;-) ... but the problem is a blocker for me because I cannot use the program at all ... but it is ok, if you align this for your tracking needs [This is an automated message.] This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases. Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugHunting_Session_3.5.0.-1 more detail on this bulk operation: http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/RFC-Operation-Spamzilla-tp3607474p3607474.html OK ... sorry for the late response. Now I have installed the latest release on my Windows 7 system and I get no more such crashes/freezes. Seems the bug is gone. I'll close this bug. Thanks for the support. |
