Description Thomas Wabner 2011-04-25 04:13:12 UTC
After having the same problem with OpenOffice (see http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=122018) I tried to install LibreOffice.

The writer can be started but after some keystrokes the application freeze or produces an error window. Sometimes the application cannot be started.

The only thing I can do is to kill the whole process tree.

The only thing I can see in the windows 7 event log is a critical kernel error with the ID "0xC0000035".

I have discovered this problem with OpenOffice after the last big windows update. I think it is possible that the same problem comes for LibreOffice. It is possible the C++ bugfix from microsoft but I'am very unsure here (because of my less knowledge about LibreOffice AND windows dev stuff).

I have seen similar problems with LanguageTool extension. Do you have it installed? Does it help you to remove it?

It works for most other people, so it is specific to a particular environment => lovering severity a bit.

No, I'am sorry. I do not have any additional extentions or addons installed. It was a fresh and poor installation (after complete deinstallation of OpenOffice).

But for sure ... I had installed some extententions for OpenOffice (but never the language tools ... mostly some dictionaries) ... but after deinstall and complete remove from user settings they should be gone?!

I also had think of the severity ;-) ... but the problem is a blocker for me because I cannot use the program at all ... but it is ok, if you align this for your tracking needs

OK ... sorry for the late response.

Now I have installed the latest release on my Windows 7 system and I get no more such crashes/freezes. Seems the bug is gone.

I'll close this bug. Thanks for the support.
